Hello Conversationalists!
June was an interesting month for the world as some communities have begun to reopen restaurants and public spaces. Despite this, the pandemic is still underway, so we encourage everyone to err on the side of precaution, and to continue or consider virtual outings as opposed to street outings. That said, this month saw movement from both our organization and our partners so check out the letter below to see what we’ve been up to!
Kyle Presents FreeIC Virtually at Wine & Watsits
Kyle joined 200 other social activists and campaigners on a zoom call to discuss success stories and ideas while enjoying drinks and Wotsits! The variety of ideas and projects was awesome to listen to and interact with. eMedicon 2020 Virtual FreeIC Event
On Friday, June 12th we had the pleasure of hosting our largest virtual FreeIC session to date! The FreeIC team partnered up with Rotaract Mediterranean and Rotaract Europe to host over 65 participants from around the world. As our message and mission continue to spread, we encourage everyone to continue making new connections and having amazing conversations.
New FreeIC Sessions in the Middle East!
Our friends at Rotaract District 2452 hosted a FreeIC session around June 20th! Participants hailed from Lebanon, Cyprus, Palestine, UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Armenia, Sudan, and Georgia! After the session participants shared that they loved the experience. We look forward to seeing how FreeIC can continue to grow and impact lives in the Middle East.
FreeIC Munich Virtual Session
This month our FreeIC friends in Munich have actively taken advantage of the virtual FreeIC events! On June 18th Kyle and 12 other conversationalists were able to get together and discuss a variety of topics from whether or not penguins have knees, to what they would do if happiness was a national currency. It is always a pleasure to connect with our friends overseas.
FreeIC Munich Partner Event with Linn-Benton Community College
Our FreeIC group in Munich has connected with Linn-Benton Community College to host Linn-Benton’s second “LET’S TALK” event! Both groups hope to continue to participate in meaningful conversations with strangers, and this is the perfect event for that cause. The event will take place on July 14th at 19:00 Uhr (7:00PM CET/1:00 PM EDT). If you would like to register to participate in this event, see the link below!
