Hello Conversationalists!
For many, summer vacation has come to an end as various Fall semesters are either kicking off or are queuing up to begin. On the one hand, it is always a bit sad when vacation time comes to an end; however, it is also exciting given the unknown possibilities that come with a new beginning. So, whether you are working/learning onsite or virtually, we at FreeIC encourage you to continue to connect with others for meaningful conversations. Read on to see what we were up to in August, and learn about some exciting things coming in the months ahead!
First FreeIC Outing in Romania
In Romania, after receiving a permit approval from their local city hall, Rotaract club Rotaract Bistrita 2000 hosted the first live FreeIC outing in Romania! This was also the first live outing after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. In spite of the turbulent times, our friends from Rotaract reported that they were able to engage in meaningful conversations with a great number of people from their community! To briefly quote Dragos, who organized the event, he said “It is amazing how you can connect some strangers...I am speechless.” Follow this link to see more pictures from the event!
As we continue to contend with the ever changing reach and impact of the pandemic, we at FreeIC encourage anyone who is considering a live event to first consult guidelines from their local public health, CDC, and/or the WHO to ensure the safety and everyone who would potentially participate.
FreeIC Rebrand Underway
FreeIC has been growing and building its brand and message since 2012. Throughout these eight years we have connected with thousands of individuals and we have hosted events in cities and countries around the world! As such, it is only natural that we take time to evaluate if our brand, website, and organizational design match our growth. As such, we are currently working on some rebranding and redesign initiatives that we feel reflect our history, how far we have come, and the direction that we wish to move in. As such, be on the lookout within the next few months for new designs on our website and much more!
