Conversation starters
We know starting conversations with strangers can be intimidating, even for those of us who've been doing it for years.
At FreeIC, we like to cut down on the trivial parts of a conversation and get to the compelling ideas, thoughts, and stories that we each have.
If you're like us, it can be tough at times to break the ice. To help us out, we've created and collected some thought-provoking questions that we've found to be great for getting conversations rolling.
HERE ARE SOME OF OUR FAVORITE QUESTIONS TO START CONVERSATIONS:
What did life teach you yesterday?
What is your "go-to" joke or funny story?
What's one thing you have not done that you really want to do? What's holding you back?
If you could teach me anything, what would it be?
What is one thing you've done in your life that you wish you could undo?
If you had everyone in the worlds undivided attention for 20 minutes, what would you tell us?
What conversation do you know you need to have, but you're avoiding?
What is something you seriously take for granted?
What are you most proud of?
If you could offer a newborn child one piece of advice, what would it be?
What have you given up on?
When you think of home, what immediately comes to mind?
What is your "secret-sauce" that makes you, you?
If you could stop one bad habit that you have, what would you stop?
What would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years for?
If you could travel back in time, where/when would you go?
What is something you hate, but wish you loved? Why?
What can you do today, that you couldn't do a year ago?
