Hello, or should we say, Guten Tag, to all of our FREEIC conversationalists out there! June is an exciting month for us as we will be kicking off our new partnership with Rotary International by hosting our first outing in Hamburg, Germany, on June 2nd, and by presenting at the Rotary International Convention on June 5th. Below you can check out more about our partnership with Rotary International and check out a spotlight on the FREEIC team that is traveling to Germany!
Partnership with Rotaract & Rotary International
Rotary International is an organization of dedicated volunteers who are devoted to making the world a better place. The organization of 1.2 million members is divided into 35,000+ clubs that focus on different issues facing their communities, like clean water/hygiene initiatives, fighting disease, growing local economies, promoting peace, and other projects and initiatives. Furthermore, within Rotary there are 250,000+ young adults between the ages of 18-30 that volunteer and are members of the young adult designation of Rotary, known as Rotaract. This year, FREEIC will be partnering with Rotaract as their official social project for the 2019 - 2020 year! Through this partnership, FREEIC will look to partner with various Rotaract clubs throughout the world to help them execute FREEIC’s events & social philosophies in order to promote conflict resolution and peacekeeping initiatives for different communities. It is our shared goal to create more connected communities that can embrace the differences therein, while also capitalizing on the commonalities that we all share. These efforts will build better, more interpersonally connected communities.
