Hello conversationalists!
While some of you are gearing up for a new school year, and others are exploring what other options the world has in store for you, we at FreeIC are still on our path to pursue intelligent conversations with strangers! To that end, we have been planning some exciting events for the upcoming fall season, but in the meantime, here’s an update on what we’ve been up to in August!
FreeIC Featured in LBCC extend: The Magazine of Linn-Benton Community College
This August we had the privilege of being featured in Linn-Benton Community College’s magazine the LBCC Extend - circulated to 90,000 homes in addition to its online presence! At the college the LBCC Civil Discourse Club, a chapter of Bridge USA, has been able to utilize FreeIC to help with their efforts on their campus, to create open & engaging environments for civil dialogue on topics that can potentially be polarizing! As a result of their work, they received the “Open Inquiry Award” from Heterodox Academy, and have successfully fostered many conversations on tough topics. FreeIC at the Global Leadership Summit
On August 8th and 9th FreeIC Conversationalist and Community Manager Cliff Allen, had the opportunity to attend the Global Leadership Summit near Chicago. The summit featured inspiring speakers and leaders such as Bear Grylls, Jason Dorsey, Bozoma Saint John, and others! During his time at the summit Cliff had the opportunity to take out a FreeIC sign and meet some inspiring leaders and professionals from around the world! Check out some images from the event below!
